Here is a ready-to-use and customizable template for a PhD thesis cover.

It is a Photoshop (.psd) file, but it can be easily edited for free online using Photopea by simply uploading the project.

 

To ensure the layout displays correctly, you will need to upload the font manually. Follow these steps:

0. Download the file trajan-pro.zip (available at this link) and the file phd_thesis_cover_project.psd (available at this link).

1. Open Photopea and upload the .psd file you downloaded in step 0.

2. Click on the "T" icon (Type Tool) in the left-hand menu.

3. Click on the font selection dropdown at the top.

4. Select "Load Font".

5. Choose the trajan-pro.zip file you downloaded in step 0.

Now everything is set up! You can proceed to customize the text and adjust all the details to fit your needs.

Personal Tip: > Before finalizing, make sure to check the required file dimensions with your print shop. Depending on the total number of pages in your thesis, you may need to adjust the width of the spine to ensure a perfect fit.
