  • Admission procedures for all applicants:

The selection will take place by Article 6 letter B of the call. The selection will be based on the evaluation of: academic qualification, the submission of a research project (written in English, maximum 6,000 characters including spaces. If the candidates are interested in the topic of a specific scholarship, they may indicate this in the project, which must be relevant to that specific theme), an oral examination (discussion of the applicant’s qualifications and the proposed research), and an assessment of foreign language proficiency (English) during the oral examination. Foreign candidates may choose to take the admission exam in English.

  • Calendar and location of the entrance exam:

Qualifications Rating: starting from July 30, 2025

Project Rating: starting from  July 30,  2025

Oral exam:  starting from August 1, 2025 at 9:30 am,  “Aula C” on the ground  floor of the Computer Science Department.

If it is not possible to attend in person, candidates may submit a reasoned request to take the exam remotely. The letter containing the reasoned request, accompanied by a copy of a valid identification document (suitable for international travel), must be sent to the PhD coordinator, Prof. Francesca Mazzia, via email to both addresses: dottorato.infmat@uniba.it and dottorato.ricerca@uniba.it, starting from July 25 and no later than July 29, 2025, at 11:59 PM (Italian time). Requests received after this deadline, or not properly justified, or not accompanied by a copy of a valid identification document suitable for international travel, will not be considered. The candidate must ensure a stable, uninterrupted internet connection in a quiet environment. The committee will communicate the connection procedures via the website: http://dottorato.di.uniba.it. If conditions prevent adequate communication or objective assessment, the committee reserves the right to permanently interrupt and invalidate the exam.
